    Mayvin® is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Next Generation Information Awareness (NGIA) Subject Matter Expert position that will support a DoD client at Fort Bragg, NC. The contractor will provide engineering and acquisition subject matter expertise contributing to the technical writing, requirements development, acquisition, and integration support for NGIA (Tactical Surveillance, Methods of Entry, Unmanned Air Vehicle, and Computer Operations) requirements, testing, programming, manpower and execution functions within the supported commodity area.


    US Citizens only.  Top Secret/ SCI clearance is required

     

    EXPECTED TRAVEL: 40%, both CONUS & OCONUS

    Responsibilities

    Requirements Support

    o Assist in the preparation of new requirement documentation.
    o Assist in preparing new equipment and system Statements of Objectives (SOO) and Statements of Work (SOW) to satisfy validated unit requirements.
    o Assist in analyzing and evaluating acquisition strategies
    o Provide project management and acquisition process assistance for Procurement and Logistical actions
    o Support requirements process utilizing the Government processes and procedures
    o Travel to multiple commercial technology venues as a technology scout to identify new or emerging technologies as potential solutions to identified commodity area requirements
    o Prepare draft messages in support of the acquisition process. Maintain an automated tracking and status log for actions
    o Participate, provide recommendations, and assist in documenting NGIA equipment Acceptance Test (AT) and Operational Test (OT) events


    Engineering Support

    o Provide engineering support as oversight, troubleshooting and technical assistance during equipment build-out and preparation for utilization and deployment.
    o Have working knowledge of the concepts and applications of electrical and other engineering disciplines
    o Have working knowledge of Beacons, Tags, Receivers and Transmitters, commercial UAS, and other aspects of those functions which comprise the NGIA portfolio and unit requirement list.
    o Be familiar with testing and base lining safety and operational requirements of employed equipment in CONUS and OCONUS locations as they apply to government operational areas of the globe
    o Be familiar with commercial cellular, land line ground phone networks and satellite constellation networks.
    o Be familiar with applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, to include algorithm development and analytics across NGIA functional areas.
    o Be familiar with in the use of DOD, Army, Federal and Civil automated and printed parts and material identification and specification programs and manuals
    o Be familiar with MILSPEC Standards and Tests
    o Be familiar with associated commercial and governmental computerized monitoring, security, and technical applications including equipment, blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation, Federal and Department of the Army Safety and Industrial Operations Manuals & Regulations

    Qualifications

    Education:
    • A bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field (Electrical Engineering or other Engineering desired) from an accredited university. (Advanced degree preferred but not required)

     

    Experience:
    • 12 years’ experience in US Military/SOF
    • Minimum of five (5) years of direct SOF NGIA experience
    • >5 years in DOD acquisition and system development
    • DAU System Acquisition Engineering Level 1 Certification
    • Working knowledge of the following areas are preferred in the order listed:
    1) Stand-off Biometric systems
    2) Remote sensor emplacement and control measures
    3) Data fusion and information architecture
    4) Software development and systems integration
    5) Autonomous systems and edge computing
    6) Special Operations experience/knowledge
    7) Military experience/knowledge
