Mayvin® is currently seeking junior-level Information Technology candidates for work on Ft. Gordon, GA.
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and have an Active TS/SCI security clearance or current SCI eligibility
Candidates will install equipment and cabling at facilities on Fort Gordon, GA to include running and banding Cat 6 copper and fiber optic cables; installing and interconnecting desktop equipment to include thin clients, monitors, CAC readers, KVM switches, etc.; installing electronic equipment in standard 19" racks; and patching various rack and desktop components. Will follow rack elevation drawings and technical directives to complete installations to the required standard and may be required to use simple hand and power tools to complete installation work. Travel may be required (up to 10%).
This position is located in Augusta, GA, specifically for work on Fort Gordon. The desired start is January-March 2019 with an anticipated 12-16 months of full time work. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate to Augusta, GA or surrounding area.
Required Skills and Education
High School diploma and at least two years of previous experience with IT equipment installation
Ability to read and interpret basic rack elevation and room layout drawings and technical instructions
Ability to properly use hand and power tools
Ability to work in a high security environment
Ability to work on ladders up to 6 feet
Preferred Skills and Education
Valid OSHA 10 hour training certification
Previous experience building and testing fiber optic and Ethernet cable
