  • Overview

     Mayvin® is currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst. This position will be located on Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, CA. The successful candidate will provide financial management support (i.e.budget and financial management, analysis, and reporting) for Naval Special Warfare Command-Group ONE’s (NSWG-1) Total Obligation Authority (ToA). 

     

    You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. Active Secret clearance is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop spend plans to support budget submissions with significant oversight from Government personnel
    • Monitor budget execution to identify trends and ensure proper use of funds
    • Perform analysis of trends and provide recommendations to meet established obligation targets
    • Compile data from various sources and prepare a variety of recurring and special budget reports completely and submitted within established deadlines
    • Assist in analyzing and processing of funding requests ensuring fiscal compliance e.g. proper use of funds, etc.
    • Assist in assigning financial structure in accordance with local business rules

    Qualifications

    Education

    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study from a fully accredited institution is preferred.
    • DoD FM Certification Level 2 proficiency in accordance with the DoD Financial Management Certification Program Handbook.

    Clearance:

    • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in DoD budget planning and formulation or related budget field that equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position

    • Knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Certification program
    • Experience with Navy ERP or a related system is a plus
    • Experience with DoD program acquisition is a plus
    • Track record of developing and implementing new processes in a cross functional environment
    • Successful cross functional leadership and ability to effectively interact with Sr. leadership
    • Excellent modeling skills using Excel or other tool/s and ability to utilize experience to continuously improve processes
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients
    • Attention to detail, highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
    • Ability to multi-task and take accountability (e.g., knows when to ask for guidance/coaching if priorities are not clear)
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task project environment
    • Ability to execute projects efficiently and effectively with limited supervision
    • Ability to present information logically and consistently
