     Mayvin® is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Senior Financial/Travel Coordinator position to provide financial management analysis and support for the appropriated funds budget, distribution, control, and Travel assistance located at our corporate office in Annandale, Va.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Assist in developing spend plans to support budget submissions.
    • Assist in monitoring budget execution to identify trends and analyze the use of funds.
    • Perform analysis of trends and provide recommendations to meet established obligation targets.
    • Compile data from various sources and prepare a variety of recurring and special budget reports, completed and submitted within established deadlines.
    • Assist in preparation of various budget exhibits using prescribed templates; Ensure all supporting documentation provides sufficient evidence to justify budget submissions.
    • Analyze and assist in processing funding requests to ensure fiscal compliance e.g. proper use of funds, etc.; Assigns financial structure in accordance with local business rules.
    • Make recommendations for funding targets based on analyses of activity budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected requirements, and approved funding.
    • Assist in monitoring and assessing obligations, expenditures, and requests for allotments, through examination of accounting records, continuing dialogue with program officials and their staffs, and review of progress reports.
    • Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of program funds, expenses, and obligations, as required by higher authority.
    • Assist in evaluating the effect of cost and program changes on the budget execution process. Analyze program key performance factors.
    • Analyze the need for transfers and realignments of funding between object class, line item, work breakdown structure (WBS) codes, and accounts under the same budget program. Analyze the need for reprogramming between budget programs and components.
    • Assist in the monitoring of year-end closing to ensure proper and full use of program funds, with no anti-deficiency violation.
    • Perform the reviewer routing official function in the prescribed travel system e.g. Defense Travel System (DTS).
    • Perform reconciliation of travel transactions in the prescribed feeder and official accounting systems
    • Maintain and update required documentation to support the Triannual Review and audit readiness.
    • Create, update and distribute travel reports.
    • Assist customers with travel related questions e.g. voucher/authorization processing.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution is highly desired.
