    Mayvin® is currently seeking an experienced  Acquisition Subject Matter Expert with Special Security Officer (SSO) experience.  This Position will support Special Operations Forces (SOF) operational initiative and are located at Fort Belvoir, VA. 

    You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.

     

    TS/SCI clearance is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares/provides technical guidance and advisory assistance in the preparation of supporting acquisition documentation including DD254s, Statement of Objectives (SOOs), Statement of Work (SOW) requirements, procurement plans, program descriptions, technical specifications, and other required solicitation information.
    • Provide the client's leadership with situational awareness of all deployed SOF operational initiatives including their resource status, effectiveness, and ownership (tactical, operational, and strategic).
    • Possess current knowledge of all work in progress under the specific Program and be capable of discussing items or issues related to Program.
    • Assists the Special Security Officer in providing administrative and technical support for a staff engaged in industrial, operational, communications, physical and personnel security operations and assuring the implementation and compliance with security programs, policies, and requirements.
    • Knowledge of commonly applied personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out a variety of support assignments.
    • An understanding and discussion level knowledge of the basic functions and operations of security systems and disciplines associated with personnel security processing.
    • Provide personnel security administration and processing on government and contractor personnel who are requesting and/or granted access to national security information IAW, but not limited to, the following:
      • Intelligence Community Directive 704 (as implemented)
      • DoD 5200.02, Procedures for the DoD Personnel Security Program
      • DoDM 5200.01, DoD Information Security Program Vol 1-4
      • DoDD 5210.50, Management of Serious Security Incidents Involving Classified Information
      • DODM 5105.21 - Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual: Administration of Personnel Security, Industrial Security and Special Activities
    • Track and maintain personnel security related actions and transactions from initial submission through indoctrination and training.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university. (Advanced degree preferred but not required)
    • Desired: Level III Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certification (Program Management, Contracting, or S&T Management preferred)
    • Successful completion of required DSS Security Courses.

    Clearance:

    • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of ten (10) years of operational experience working within US military special operations and/or special mission units.
    • Expertise in SOCOM acquisition policies and processes, DoD 5000, JCIDS/SOFCIDS, and SOF-unique processes.
    • Preferred: Detailed understanding of SOF tactics, techniques, procedures, and processes and subject matter expertise in one or more of the SOF core mission areas.
    • Minimum Two (2) years of personnel security experience with a fundamental understanding of Verify & coordinate organizational badging and process component paperwork and issue badges
