  • Overview

    Mayvin® is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Sr. Human Terrain/Socio-Cultural Analyst position that will support a DoD client at MacDill AFB, FL. The successful candidate will gather and analyze information, and provide recommendations necessary for the Government to produce, disseminate, and apply intelligence products in various areas.

    Must be a U.S. citizen. Position requires ability to deploy to OCONUS locations. Top Secret/ SCI clearance is required.




    Research and analysis that combines lessons of social sciences (particularly sociology, cultural anthropology, psychology, geography, economics and political science) with all-source analytic techniques to produce Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (IPE)-like products.

    More About the Role:

    • Collate religious, linguistic, ethnic, social and occupational layers into appropriate repositories for advanced processing.
    • Leverage unique methodologies, conceptual frameworks, social network analysis, and geographic information systems to provide assessments and recommendations to decision-makers at all levels.
    • Address the Socio-Cultural-Dynamics (SCD) and human terrain factors essential to understanding all aspects of culture and other environmental factors that influence behavior in the USCENTCOM AOR.
    • Provide Geographic Intelligence Analysis by integrating geo-spatial tradecrafts (remote sensing, spatial pattern/spatial-temporal analysis), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial econometrics, spatial interaction, map making and cartographic visualization (2D & 3D), geospatial databases with human terrain and socio-cultural data to characterize events and discover patterns, relationships and trends.
    • Constructing visualizations, geospatial analysis and spatial modeling products; coordinating with human terrain and all-source analysts on map making/visualization techniques to enhance the presentation of fused information for all consumers; and performing quality control assessments for all geospatial intelligence analysis and products.



    Bachelor or Master's degree with 8+ years of intelligence analysis experience or specialized training & 10+ years intelligence analysis experience or equivalent intelligence/academic experience credentialed subject matter expert or recognized specialist in relevant field.

    Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly.

    Due to contract requirements, as an essential job function you must be qualified and able to travel to OCONUS locations on short notice. Failure to meet such qualifications may result in termination.
    Due to contract requirements you must maintain a valid United States Passport and remain qualified to travel OCONUS on short notice.
