Overview

Mayvin® is currently seeking an experienced Unmanned Ariel Systems (UAS) Pilot/Maintainer for an effort in support of Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG). The successful candidate will be competent in SOF tactical techniques and procedures and will be able to contribute this experience into research and development activities in support of NSWDG unmanned platforms and payload development efforts. This position will be located on Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck Annex - Virginia Beach, VA. Up to 35% per year of travel is expected to Both CONUS and OCONUS locations.

 

You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. Current Secret clearance required.

This position is contingent on contract award.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to NSWDG CDD Unmanned Systems to include piloting, and maintenance of command UAS assets, resource coordination, operation and maintenance of test assets, and project management support.
  • Perform as lead for the administration/execution of test events.
  • Coordinate pilot/maintainers, test ranges, internal/external test support, and frequency management for testing.
  • Responsible for the inventory, management and shipping of equipment and payloads for test events.
  • Maintain currency in command UAS platforms via actual flights or simulators per unit flight SOPs.
  • Develop and review test and project documentation and after action reports.
  • Draft test results and after-action reports.
  • Interface with military, DOD, and contracted personnel.
  • Participate in technical and operational briefs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred but not required. 

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Current Secret clearance required.

Experience:

  • Fluent in English comprehension and reading.
  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Possess and maintain a CLII Flight Physical.
  • Minimum 1000 flight hours in unmanned aerial vehicles, preferred SOF experience.
  • No physical limitations that restrict working indoors or outdoors in SOF operational environments.
  • No restrictions to travel up to 35% per year.
  • Schiebel S-100 Camcopter Operator and Maintainer certificate preferred.
  • Aeronautics Orbiter III Operator and Maintainer qualification preferred.
