Overview

Mayvin® is currently seeking experienced applicants to serve as a Budget Analyst that will provide financial management (FM), technical, and policy support to the USSOCOM Resource Management (RM) Directorate in accordance with the RM Directorate budget process. The incumbent personnel will also support the USSOCOM Directorate Comptroller’s FM responsibilities associated with other SOF Components and provide support to the USSOCOM RM Directorate on budget formulation and execution and other financial issues pertaining to fiscal support of SOF mission activities and logistical life cycle tracking, monitoring, and management of MFP-11 funding support provided to USSOCOM Directorate. This position will be located at Fort Bragg, NC.

 

You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, analyze, track, gather data, prepare reports, and perform data integration.
  • Research, analyze, and support the standardization and consolidation of USSOCOM financial data for management analysis and reporting as required by OUSD(C), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and Congress.
  • Support all accounting actions associated with conducting a formal Tri- Annual review within the FM Suite to perform document reconciliation for all expired year accounts IAW Defense and Accounting Service (DFAS) and overarching Command guidance.
  • Support training on the Tri-Annual review process to customers with respect to Global Fund Administration System (GAFS)/Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), reconciliation systems, Mechanization of Contract Administration Services (MOCAS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and other training as required.
  • Maintain proficiency on the Tri-Annual Review process in order to provide current training to customers.
  • Advise, assist and provide support to ensure JSOC complies with the standards and requirements set by OMB, OUSD(C), Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), and any other governing body.
  • Provide support relating to financial performance, reporting and audit readiness as required by OUSD(C), USSOCOM, and Comptroller initiatives.
  • Provide any concerns or changes to policies or process with recommended solutions as required
  • Support the Audit Committee, Senior Assessment Team (SAT), and Joint Resources Executive Council (JREC).
  • Provide FM support in accordance with JSOC and USSOCOM RM policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

Education

  •  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relative experience
  • Experience with the military is preferred
  • Familiarization with OMB financial reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of Defense and Accounting Service (DFAS)
  • 5 years USSOCOM or Service Component Level FM experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members, clients and company management
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Mastery in use of personal computers with extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
