Overview

Mayvin® is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Naval Special Warfare Administrative Specialist position that will support Naval Special Warfare Group TEN (NSWG-10), Special Reconnaissance Team ONE (SRT-1) and Special Reconnaissance Team TWO (SRT-2) commands. This position will be located on Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, CA. The primary objective of this effort is to provide program support services to support garrison support functions with the execution of administrative and logistic related services affecting the overall command operational readiness.

You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered. Secret clearance is required.

This position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

This position serves as Administrative Specialist, for NSWG-10 and the SRTs. The Administrative Specialists will operate under direct supervision of the NSWG-10 Comptroller, SRT-2 Operations Officer, and SRT-1 Administration Officer.

 

This position supports administrative tasks which include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Travel, managing and maintenance of the PERSTEMPO database, support of DTS administration, and assistance with Naval Special Warfare Defense Ready System daily deployment reporting input and verification.
  • Process data from DTS reports for entry into Personnel Tempo (PERSTEMPO) database.
  • Create Duty Status events in Defense Ready-DEPREP (Deployment Report).
  • Process weekly PERSTEMPO reports for Admin and Operations.
  • Assist with military and civilian travel payments, voucher examination and administrative maintenance of the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Analyze and audit travel reimbursement vouchers for completeness, accuracy and proper expenditure of Federal funds.
  • Screen and verify all receipts, certify vouchers, monitor accounts payable, obligation balances.
  • Liaise with Consolidated Travel Office (CTO) for arrangement of travel to localities internal and external to CONUS.
  • Process the submissions of travel vouchers via DTS by military and DOD civilian personnel within five (5) working days after completion of travel.
  • Ensure vouchers are correct and comply with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • Contact travelers regarding receipt or erroneous documentation required for payment.
  • Provide SRT Administrative departments with copies of orders and order modifications to ensure tax-free compensation when applicable.
  • Provide technical travel and DTS guidance to military personnel in travel voucher review functions.
  • Responsible for training travel personnel in a high turnover environment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred.  

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Experience:

  • Prior DoD experience-minimum of four years preferred
  • Possess excellent work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, and be detailed and accurate in performing all administrative and routine functions.
  • Be able to work in an environment that is fast-paced, completing multiple tasks, and meeting stringent timelines.
  • Maintain a clean workspace.
  • Ability to apply practical knowledge of commonly applied telecommunications principles, concepts, and methodologies to perform independent work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and scenarios with limited supervision.
  • Attention to detail, highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information logically and consistently.
